One of a series commissioned from leading artists for the Munich games, this sparkling image is unmistakably the work of the man who had captured worldwide attention with his California pool paintings, notably A Bigger Splash (1967). The poster was published by Edition Olympia GmbH in 1971 and the work is dated 1970 by the artist.
