The poster has suffered some wear, with a lateral fold towards the bottom and water damage and creasing near the top. If you would like to know more please get in touch.
Background
P&O and Orient Line merged in 1960 and the Orient name was dropped from the company name in 1966. It was towards the end of that period that Oriana, flagship of the Orient fleet, assumed the white P&O livery seen in the poster. The liner appears to be leaving dock at Circular Quay. The tall building overlooking the water is an office of AMP insurance. The poster carries no printing or photography credits.
