Background
A pilot of distinction, Henrard photographed the city of his birth from the air over many years and a collection of his work is preserved in the Musée Carnavalet. He also published an autobiography entitled Un Enragé du Ciel ('Flying Fanatic'). The Arc de Triomphe, completed in the 1830s, commemorates those who fought in the Revolutionary and Napoleonic wars. The Place de l'Étoile was renamed the Place Charles de Gaulle in 1970. The printer is Les Fils de Victor Michel, Paris.
