A CLASSIC original vintage 1937 poster by American designer McKnight Kauffer promoting the Post Office and showing a woman posting a letter at Land's End, at the southwestern extremity of England.

Background This was one of a series produced by the GPO in the same years as the Outpost of Empire system, but very different in design. Edward McKnight Kauffer (1890-1954) was an American designer and illustrator active in London from around 1914 to around 1940, and best known for his work for London Transport and London Underground.
