Cunard liners, 1940s?

A BEAUTIFUL original vintage poster advertising Cunard’s Cherbourg-New York services on the famous liners Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.

Condition
This poster has been cut at the top, with the loss of the name Cunard. There are fold marks and some wear and minor water staining. If you would like to know more please get in touch. 

Background
The Queen Mary is shown at New York, with a splendid background of skyscrapers, while the Queen Elizabeth is at dock in the French port of Cherbourg (although Cunard used the same image in posters for the Southampton-New York service). No artist is credited.
