Very good. If you would like to know more please get in touch.
Born in 1622, Fabritius is thought to have been an important influence on Vermeer, though few of his works survive. He died in the year he painted the goldfinch, among the victims of a gunpowder store explosion that destroyed much of Delft. The exhibition was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the National Gallery in London.
