Very good. If you would like to know more please get in touch.
Principally known as a watercolourist, Merriott was one of the foremost artists working for British Railways in the post-war years. The village of Kersey still has a stream and ford in its main street before the turn up to St Mary’s church, but even in 1950 it was not directly served by the railways, the nearest station at that time being eight miles away in Lavenham. The poster was printed by Waterlow and Sons of London and Dunstable.
