The Kurfürstendamm is one of Berlin’s principal thoroughfares. This poster was issued by DZF, the German Tourist Office, and printed by Meisenbach Riffarth & Co of Berlin. the photographer was Croner of Berlin. The picture emphasises the city’s modernity, with the fashionably-dressed group in the foreground, the signs of consumerism and the tall office buildings in the background. The film playing at the Gloria is '20,000 Leagues Under The Sea’, first released in 1954.
