AN ORIGINAL vintage poster from around 1960 showing the engine of a Renault Dauphine car in cutaway and presumably meant to hang in salesrooms and garages. It shows 31 numbered items with keys in French and English.
107cm x 74cm
The poster is in good condition and is still fixed to black metal rails top and bottom with the ribbon loops from which it originally hung (see second photograph). If you would like to know more please get in touch.
Produced between 1956 and 1967, the rear-engined Dauphine was France's answer to the Volkswagen Beetle and the Morris Minor in the economy family car market. It was described by one U.S. motoring critic as 'the prettiest little four-seater in the world'. The poster was printed by La Photolith of Paris.
