A VERY FINE original vintage poster, probably from the 1960s, showing the home territories of the leading Scottish clans or families, along with rail, coach and shipping routes. A kilted warrior brandishes a sword bottom right.
Size 99cm x 64cm
Condition Good. There is a fine 5cm tear centre top with no paper loss, and minor wear on the left margin. If you would like to know more please get in touch.
Background Campbell, MacDonald, Stuart, Grant, Gordon, Bruce, Murray . . . their lands are all identified here, along with many others. The name MacBrayne has been associated with transport and particularly ferry services in Scotland since the 19th century.
