Background
When Pablo Picasso returned to the Riviera after the Second World War he was given space to work in the Antibes Museum and before long his paintings became important exhibits. By 1966, with its collection much enriched, it had become the Picasso Museum. La Joie de Vivre, with the central woman dancing to the music of a centaur and a faun, is regarded as a celebration of peace. The printer is Trulli, of Vence.
