A FINE original vintage poster for British Railways by the leading English poster artist Jack Merriott (1901-68). It carries no date, but elsewhere has been dated 1956.

Background
The Isle of Arran is in the Firth of Clyde, western Scotland. The poster shows fishing boats in Brodick Bay, with a glimpse of Brodick itself, the island’s main settlement, on the left.
