A VERY FINE 1962 original vintage poster of the ski slopes and a cablecar above Chamrousse in the northern French Alps.

Background Chamrousse, above the city of Grenoble, has a claim to be the birthplace of Nordic skiing in France as early as the 1870s, though the resort was not developed until the 1950s. It staged the ski events of the 1968 Winter Olympics. The image shows the La Croix cablecar.
