Background This was one of a number of rare vintage posters that made national news when they turned up in a car boot sale in Cornwall. The Orient Line was a leading passenger carrier on the sea route from Britain for more than half a century up to 1966, when it was absorbed into P&O. The early 1930s was a time when company publicity was highlighting its fleet of 20,000-ton ships.
