Background
The slogan is: ‘Visit the world-famous spa town’. Carlsbad's most glamorous days were before the First World War, when European aristocracy flocked to take the waters. By 1959 it was behind the Iron Curtain and this sparkling poster was designed to persuade French tourists to return.
