A DELIGHTFUL original vintage poster in large format for the German shampoo brand, designed by the leading Swiss artist Fritz Bühler and a colleague, Roudi Barth, and usually dated 1949.

Condition
Very good. There are two faint lateral folds, but the surface of the poster is undamaged. If you would like to know more please get in touch.

Background
The ground-breaking Bühler (1909-63) had his own studio in Basel and worked several times for Schwarzkopf. Barth (1921-99) was a colleague at this time and went on to make his own career as a designer. Schwarzkopf, now owned by Henkel AG, is the brand created by the inventor of liquid shampoo, Hans Schwarzkopf. The printer is Wassermann AG of Basel. The poster carries no date but has been dated 1949 by others.
