Background
This was one of the ‘Britain’ series produced by the British Travel and Holidays Association around this time. The printer was Sun Printers of Watford and London. Wells Cathedral, built over more than three centuries of the Middle Ages, is best known for its west façade, seen on the left, which is considered the pinnacle of Early English Gothic style.
