Background
This was one of the extensive ‘Britain’ series produced by the British Travel and Holidays Association around this time. The printer is Harrison and Sons of London. The text on the poster is a short history of the castle mentioning its bombardment from the sea in 1778 by a ship of the American revolutionary forces commanded by John Paul Jones.
