Very good. If you would like to know more please get in touch.
This was one of a series published that year depicting French scenes as if viewed from a railway carriage window. The slogan here is: ‘Take our trains and buses’. The poster was printed by Paul Martial and carries the signature ‘Jal’, an artist who created several other posters for SNCF around this time. The view shows one of the fountains in Place de la Concorde and in the background the Luxor Obelisk from ancient Egypt and the 18th century classical buildings housing the Navy Ministry and the Hotel de Crillon.
