Marie Antoinette, Versailles, 1955

An original vintage poster for an exhibition at the Palais de Versailles in 1955, featuring the most famous of the many portraits of Louis XVI’s queen by the artist Élisabeth Vigiée Le Brun. 'Marie Antoinette with a Rose' was painted in 1783, six years before the French revolution.
