A STUNNING original vintage poster from 1958 showing the famous chalk cliffs at Étretat and promoting the coastal walking route from Le Tréport to Le Havre in the French department of Seine Maritime. The photograph is by Karl Machatschek (1906-94).

Size  100cm x 62cm

Condition  Good. There are pinholes at corners and the poster has been folded across the bottom of the photograph. If you would like to know more please get in touch. 

Background  The slogan says: 'The cliffs and beaches of Normandy'. The printer is Braun et Cie of Paris and the poster was issued by the Directorat Général du Tourisme. The picture shows one of three spectacular arches at the resort of Étretat. The coast walk between Le Tréport and Le Havre, officially known as GR21, is still popular.
